Launch of PBPA's new blog

Philippine Bus Photographers Association, established in 2010, is a community of bus enthusiasts, sharing a common goal of presenting the best of the Philippine bus industry. What started as a few persons with cameras on hand in roads and terminals evolved into a booming group where enthusiasts, commuters, and even industry partners gather and cooperate together. From the old Flickr base, our primary site is Facebook, where our page has already gathered more than 23,000 likes and even more followers in our 10 years of activity.

This is what you will see in the
"About" section of the PBPA Facebook page.

Our primary activity is, of course, bus photography. With at least 30 full-time members and many more contributors uploading fresh bus photos everyday, we have no shortage of content to share. From Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, our contributors have ensured that we will be presenting quality shots representative of the beauty of the Philippine bus industry.

We observe every facet of the bus industry for us, the group and the whole community, to be updated. Thus, we also write news coverages and feature articles to share, inform, and keep the whole bus community up-to-date with current affairs.

Of course, we would not be the group that we are today without the express support of some of the industry's stakeholders, including operators and manufacturers. Over the course of 10 years, many stakeholders recognize our reach to the larger community, and thus extended their hand to us. We have been invited to plant tours, maiden voyages, test runs, and commemorative events among others.

In turn, we also support our industry partners by extending our help in any way we can. We have helped many companies in spreading information, whether it's for a new route or new services. Many buses also carry liveries designed by our members and admins, which we fondly call "livery bearers".

After 10 years of group activity and community participation, we want to go even further. We believe that we can reach many more people, let them appreciate the beautiful bus industry, and contribute even more the the community. Thus, it is our decision to open this blog as a way for us to communicate to the wider Filipino community what is happening in and around the bus industry. We will continue our legacy of quality shots, fair and truthful information, and awesome features so that you, our most esteemed audiences, can greatly appreciate how great it is to be around buses.

Stay safe, take care, and welcome to our blog!
