In time for the Christmas season, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) released back-to-back memorandum circulars (MC) allowing the resumption of more regular and point-to-point provincial bus services from Metro Manila starting this month.

MCs 2020-051D and 2020-082 outlines the routes allowed to resume as local government units slowly open up their borders to travellers from outside their areas. In line with updated government policy, all regular buses have to terminate at designated common terminals at the outskirts of Metro Manila, where connecting city buses serve to take commuters in and out of the Metro. Point-to-point provincial buses are allowed to operate on their old routes without modification.

Solid North's Baguio-PITX P2P route is one of ten provincial P2P routes slated to return soon. The actual date of resumption depends largely on the company's compliance to LTFRB directives.

Before actual operations resume, bus operators need to secure from the LTFRB their units' QR codes, where their plate number, vehicle identification, and authorized route are indicated to prevent abuse of authority, aid in identification, and serve as each units' special permit.

Passengers are also reminded to follow health and quarantine protocols before boarding. Actual requirements vary by LGU, but the most basic requirements include the proper wearing of face mask and face shields, filling out a health declaration form, temperature checks, and undertaking to proceed to a quarantine facility should the local government require to. Proof of residence is required for many routes.

Narito po ang mga kinakailangang documents ngayon kapag sasakay. Dapat po ready na ito bago sumakay.
